Profile of Land Information Section

 

Introduction

Section of Land Information was established in 2005. The purpose of this section is to provide ICT services for the Department.

This section also provides the latest ICT infrastructure. In addition, it acts as the backbone and intermediaries for all JKPTG ICT services. This ensures that the utilization of computers is planned, adequate and effective in the daily administration of the Department.


Functions

The main function of this section is to manage the necessity of computer equipment and software more effectively and appropriately. Two unit are formed to meeet all of the functions as below:

  • To Manage the Department's portal
  • Maintaining the Department's Database
  • To Manage and develop Department's Intranet aplications
  • Monitor Department's email
  • Provide technical support to all sections

 

Services

  • Provide an efficient ICT services to the Department
  • To secure the Department ICT security
  • To Prevent the misuse of ICT assets and ensure the smooth funcitoning of equipment.
  • To Provide backup and recovery for databases and ensure the accessiblity.
  • To ensure that data is secure and only accessible to authorized personnel only
  • To monitor email, internet, etc from any threat
  • Be ready to provide technical advice
  • To update the Department's portal and Intranet
